Thoughts on Car Plus Motors inventory and process?

Hey everyone. I've been eyeing a 2022 BMW X5 on a site I stumbled upon, Car Plus Motors. The price seems really good, almost too good. I couldn't find a ton of reviews so I'm a bit skeptical. Has anyone here actually bought a high-end vehicle from them? Wanted to check if Car Plus Motors is legit before I even think about bidding.
You're good to go. I got a 2021 Mustang GT from Car Plus Motors about six months ago. The pictures were accurate, maybe even understated how clean it was. The whole thing was professional from start to finish.
Seconded. Bought a Ram 2500 last year. Was a bit worried about buying a truck sight unseen, but it all worked out great. The carplusmotors.com website is pretty easy to navigate once you get the hang of it.
@LuxurySeeker88 The key is to read the full inspection report they provide for each vehicle on carplusmotors.com. They are surprisingly detailed. I've helped a few friends buy from CarPlusMotors and they've all had good experiences.
Thanks for the feedback guys. @GTI_guy I did see the report, that's what made me consider it. Still nervous about the title transfer process.
Don't worry about the title! That was my biggest fear too. We bought a Honda Odyssey for our growing family from Car Plus Motors. The title was cleared by the bank right after we paid and the clean title was delivered by the carrier along with the car. Super smooth process.
Can confirm, they're legit. My neighbor won a Lexus ES 350 from CarPlusMotors and asked me to give it a once-over when it arrived. The car was in the exact condition described in their report. No surprises.
My experience was mostly positive. The only issue was a slight delivery delay. The car was scheduled for a Tuesday but arrived on Thursday. To be fair, the delivery company called me to give a heads-up, so it wasn't a big deal. The vehicle itself was perfect.
A two day delay isn't bad for cross-country shipping tbh. Glad it worked out. I'm always impressed by the variety of stuff on carplusmotors.com. Seen everything from sports cars to RVs to sports yachts.
@RoadWarrior I'm one of their boat customers! We got a fantastic deal on a Sea Ray last summer through Car Plus Motors. It's been a dream. The process for a marine vessel was just as straightforward.
How does the bidding work? Is it like eBay with sniping at the end or does the clock extend?
@Project_X The clock extends if there's a bid in the last couple of minutes. Prevents sniping. It's all in the FAQ section on their site, carplusmotors.com. It's a fair system.
We got a pontoon boat from Car Plus Motors, can also vouch for them. Great machine, way less than we would have paid at a local marina.
I'll add that email support can be a little slow. I sent a message to office@carplusmotors.com with a few questions and it took them about a day and a half to get back to me. Once they did, the agent was super helpful. Pro-tip: just call their main number if you're in a hurry.
@RV_Nomad That's solid advice for any online business really. I've bought 3 vehicles from Car Plus Motors over the years. Always just call if I have a question. Never had a single problem with them.
Got my 2018 Tacoma TRD Off-Road from them. Best deal I've ever gotten on a vehicle. The process was way more transparent than I was expecting for an auction company.
@LuxurySeeker88 About the title concern- I got a RAV4 from CarPlusMotors. Honestly the best part was that I didn't have to do any DMV paperwork chase. The clear title and all the official bank lien-release documents were in a neat folder delivered right with my car. Zero hassle.
Repo auctions are the way to go if you use a reputable outfit. Car Plus Motors is one of the good ones. You avoid dealer markups and get a vehicle that's usually just a few years old. Just read the reports and bid smart.
Have to share my experience too. Very positive. The only 'negative' was a small rock chip on the hood that I couldn't really see in the photos online. But for the price I paid for my Forester, I honestly couldn't care less lol. It's a used car, after all.
Wow, okay. This is all incredibly reassuring. You guys have convinced me. The positive stories, especially about the titles, have put my mind at ease. I'm going to register on carplusmotors.com and place a bid on that X5. Thanks so much everyone!
