Seen a few things about Car Plus Motors - legit or not?

Hey all, new to the forum. I've been looking at a 2021 Toyota Camry on carplusmotors.com. The price seems really good, almost too good. I've never bought from a repo auction before. Can anyone share their experience with carplusmotors? Are they a legitimate company? A bit worried about the whole process.
Welcome! You're right to be cautious but I can vouch for them. I got my 2022 F-150 from carplusmotors last year. The process was smooth. The best part was how they handled the title. It was a bank repo, and I was worried about liens, but the clear title arrived with all the paperwork right after my payment cleared. No drama at all.
Seconding FordMan. They're one of the better ones. The key is to read the full condition report on their site, carplusmotors.com. The photos are usually very detailed. What you see is what you get, which is rare for online auctions. Been using them for project cars for years.
Our experience was 95% positive. We bought a Winnebago from them. There was a slight delay in delivery, it arrived on a Friday instead of the Wednesday we expected. But the delivery company kept us in the loop the whole time, so it wasn't a huge deal. The RV itself was in great shape. We'd use carplusmotors again.
@JandK_RVers thats pretty common with vehicle freight tbh. a 2 day delay is almost on time lol. glad it worked out for you!
Got my wife's Forester from carplusmotors last spring. No issues. The bidding can be a bit intense in the last few minutes, so my advice is to set your max bid and walk away. Don't get caught up in the moment.
Can confirm they are legit. A client brought in a Lexus ES he won on carplusmotors for me to do a full inspection. The vehicle was exactly as it was described in their online report. The wear-and-tear items were noted correctly. Solid buy.
My only small gripe was trying to get a hold of someone via email. I sent a message to office@carplusmotors.com and it took them almost two days to reply. I ended up just calling and got my question about payment options answered in 5 minutes. The guy on the phone was helpful, just seemed a bit rushed.
@Project_X Good tip. Always better to call with these auction houses. Email queues can get crazy. Their main business is moving cars, not writing emails haha
Pulled the trigger on a Sea Ray sports boat from carplusmotors about 6 months ago. I was most nervous about the boat title and registration. But I have to say, they made it painless. The title was clear, no liens, and all the official transfer paperwork arrived via courier about a week after the boat was delivered. Flawless process.
This thread is really helpful. I was looking at a Honda CR-V on their site and was on the fence. I think I'm going to register and try my luck. Thanks everyone.
Good luck @jess_w_91! I got my '19 GTI from them. It had a tiny scratch on the rear fender that they circled in the pictures. I appreciated the honesty. I was able to buff most of it out myself. Great car, great price.
Wow, thank you all for the detailed replies! This makes me feel SO much better. The stories about the titles especially have put my mind at ease. I'm going to place a bid on that Camry. Really appreciate this community!
Do it. I got my 4Runner from carplusmotors. Pro-tip: make sure you have your financing sorted *before* you win the auction. They give you a pretty tight window to pay, which is standard for these places.
Glad we could help, @NervousBidder99. Let us know how it goes! It's a solid place to get a good deal if you do your homework on the specific vehicle.
