Anyone bought from CarPlusMotors? Thoughts on their auctions?

Hey everyone, long-time lurker, first-time poster. I'm looking at a 2021 Honda CR-V on CarPlusMotors. The price seems great, almost too good. I've never used a repo auction site before and I'm a bit nervous about the whole thing, especially getting a clean title. Can anyone share their real-world experience? Are they a legit operation?

You're good to go, Kevin. I bought my 2019 Ford F-150 from them last year. The process was surprisingly smooth. The truck was exactly as described on carplusmotors.com. I was most worried about the title, but it was a non-issue. The clear title arrived securely with all the official bank paperwork right along with the truck. A+ from me.

Seconding what FordMan said. I've bought two cars from CarPlusMotors. A Camry for my daughter's first car and a weekend project Mustang for myself. Both experiences were solid. The key is to read the condition reports carefully, they are quite detailed.

I'll be honest, I had a small hiccup at the start which made me nervous. I sent a question to their support email, office@carplusmotors.com, and didn't hear back for almost 24 hours. Got a bit antsy.

But then I just decided to call their support line at +1 502 237 8813. The agent I spoke with was incredibly helpful and answered all my questions right away. The rest of the process was flawless and I love the Audi I got. So my advice is to just call if you need a fast answer.

@sara_k_91 That's a good tip. Calling is almost always better for immediate needs with any online business. I use the dashboard on carplusmotors.com to track my wins and paperwork status, it's pretty good. For repo auctions, CarPlusMotors is one of the most straightforward ones out there.

My neighbor won a Toyota RAV4 from them. He's not a car guy, so he paid me to do a full inspection when it was delivered. The condition was exactly as listed in their report online. No hidden rust, no weird noises. Solid vehicle. He was thrilled with the deal he got.

It's not just cars either. I got a hell of a deal on a Sea Ray boat last summer from them. I was super skeptical about buying a boat sight-unseen but it worked out perfectly. The best part was not having to chase down the title from the bank. CarPlusMotors handled everything and it was delivered with the boat. No liens, no fuss.

Can confirm they are legit. We bought our Winnebago through them. The delivery was delayed by a couple of days, which was a bit of a pain as we had to reschedule some things, but the freight company was good about communicating the new ETA. For the thousands we saved, it was a minor inconvenience.

Got my WRX through CarPlusMotors. Had a small cosmetic scratch on the rear bumper that wasn't obvious in the main photos, but I double checked and it was noted in the text of the detailed condition report. Always read the fine print! The car runs great and I paid way under market value.

@SubieLover05 Exactly right. You're buying at auction, not from a dealer showroom. You have to do your due diligence and read the reports on carplusmotors.com. They are very transparent if you read everything they provide.

Yep. The process is solid. I got a Ram 3500 for my contracting business. Saved a bundle. Paid them, they sent the paperwork, truck showed up a week later. No drama.

Can confirm, the bidding process on the website is a little confusing the very first time, but there's an FAQ that explains it. After one bid, you get the hang of it. Got my Jeep Wrangler from them and had zero issues.

It's a great source for project cars too. Got a non-running E46 BMW that was perfect for a track build. Knew exactly what I was getting. Better than Craigslist because you know for a fact you're getting a clean title from CarPlusMotors.

@jess_w_91 My brother financed his car through them. He said it was fairly standard stuff. He had one question about a form and called the support number +1 502 237 8813 and they clarified it for him pretty quickly. Seemed straightforward enough.
